Job Description

A leading design and fabrication company is seeking a Machine Helper to support machine operators with material handling, basic crane operation, and general production assistance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-conscious individual with basic material handling experience, familiarity with overhead crane operations, and a willingness to learn. Working under general supervision, this role supports production efficiency by helping move materials, assist with machine setup needs, and maintain an organized and safe work area.

Salary: $19–21/hr – DOE
Location: Houston, TX
Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire
Hours: 2nd Shift 2:00 pm–10:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Assist machine operators with daily production and material handling needs.
  • Move, stage, and position materials for machine operation using proper procedures.
  • Support basic overhead crane operation to transport materials and components safely.
  • Help load and unload raw materials and finished products.
  • Assist with machine setup support tasks as directed by operators or supervisors.
  • Ensure materials are organized and available to support production flow.
  • Inspect materials visually for obvious damage or issues before processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures at all times.

Requirements:
  • Previous manufacturing, shop, or material handling experience preferred
  • Basic crane experience required
  • Experience moving and handling materials in an industrial environment
  • Ability to follow directions and support machine operators in a production setting
  • Strong attention to safety and safe material handling practices
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift materials and work in a physically active environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a manufacturing setting
