A leading provider of midstream and marketing solutions is seeking an Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong GAAP knowledge and QuickBooks experience. Working directly under the Controller, the new hire will manage month-end close and general ledger tasks by tracking expenses and allocations while supporting financial reporting and process improvements.

Salary: $30-32/hr

Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Manage vendor payables and customer receivables, employee expenses, and credit card reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including financial package preparation.
• Assist with intercompany accounting, fixed asset tracking, and capital project reporting.
• Review and verify expense submissions via Expensify and ensure proper coding.
• Maintain documentation for audits and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies.
• Partner with the Controller on cash flow analysis, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Support process improvements and assist in potential migration from QuickBooks to Oracle.

• 4+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, or project-based environments
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and internal controls
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Expensify or comparable expense systems
• Proven ability to prioritize, self-manage, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required; CPA track or certification is a plus
